How access works.
Plain-language explanation of what you buy when you buy a Foundations course, what access means, and what happens at the end of the 12 months.
What you get for $189 (or $504 for the bundle)
12 months of full access from your enrollment date. Every module video, every interactive worksheet, every quiz, the capstone, and the AI Tutor (Phase 2) — all unlocked for 12 months.
One-time payment. No subscription. No card-on-file recharge. No surprise renewal.
When the 12 months start
The clock starts at the moment Stripe confirms your payment — the payment_intent.succeeded timestamp on the transaction. That single timestamp anchors three different windows: the 3-day refund window, the 12-month access window, and the 90-day renewal-eligibility window that opens at expiration.
What expiration means
- Module videos lock. The interactive worksheet builder closes for new sessions.
- The AI Tutor (Phase 2) becomes unavailable for the expired course.
- Your certificate, if you completed the course, persists forever at
allianceunlimited.com/verify/?id=<id>. Loss of access is not loss of certificate. - Worksheet .xlsx files you already downloaded are yours. The platform does not reach back and revoke them.
- Login still works. Course pages render with the expiration page and the renewal + re-purchase CTAs.
Two paths at expiration: renewal or re-purchase
Renewal — $72 single course / $171 bundle
- 6 additional months of access (not 12).
- Locked to your current course version. No curriculum updates during a renewed window.
- Available for 90 days after expiration — after that, only re-purchase remains.
- Per-month effective rate: $12.00 (single) / $28.50 (bundle).
Re-Purchase — $189 single course / $504 bundle
- Fresh 12 months of access.
- Latest curriculum. Free updates within the new window.
- Available any time — before or after expiration, including after the 90-day renewal window closes.
- Per-month effective rate: $15.75 (single) / $42.00 (bundle).
Calendar math — a worked example
Suppose you enroll on 2026-05-15.
- Day 0 (2026-05-15): enrollment. Access begins.
- Day 365 (2027-05-15): access ends. Renewal-eligibility window opens.
- Day 365 → Day 455 (2027-05-15 → 2027-08-13): renewal at $72 available.
- Renewal purchased on, say, 2027-06-01: access reopens until 2027-06-01 + 180 days = 2027-11-28. Locked to the curriculum version active on 2027-05-15.
- Day 455 (2027-08-13) without renewing: renewal-eligibility window closes. Only re-purchase at $189 remains.
- Re-purchase any time: fresh 12 months from the re-purchase date, latest curriculum, free updates within the window.
Cumulative cost over time
For a learner who keeps engaging year after year:
| Path | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Year 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single course — always renew (2 × 6-mo per yr) | $189 | $333 | $477 | $621 |
| Single course — always re-purchase (12-mo cycles) | $189 | $378 | $567 | $756 |
| Bundle — always renew | $504 | $846 | $1,188 | $1,530 |
| Bundle — always re-purchase | $504 | $1,008 | $1,512 | $2,016 |
Renewer pays less per year and stays on the original curriculum. Re-purchaser pays more and gets the fresh curriculum each cycle with free updates inside the window.
After the 90-day renewal window closes
The renewal SKU stops being available for that enrollment record. The re-purchase path remains open indefinitely. Re-purchase grants a fresh 12 months and the latest curriculum, with free updates inside the new window.
All three courses + bundle use identical mechanics
12 months of access on initial purchase or re-purchase, 6 months on renewal, 90-day renewal-eligibility window, version-lock on renewal, version-refresh on re-purchase. No per-course exceptions.
Refund window vs access window — different things
The refund window is a 3-day “I changed my mind” buffer. The access window is the 12-month delivery period. They’re different concepts with different rules.
